HE STOOD FOR SOMETHING: Motorhead superfan 'Handlebar', from San Francisco, in front of a portrait of the late Motorhead singer Lemmy Kilmister during a memorial service for the musician at the Rainbow Bar, on the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles, yesterday

Motorhead frontman Lemmy's rock 'n' roll Hollywood funeral was watched live by 230,000 fans around the world on YouTube.
At a private memorial service at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, in Los Angeles, tributes to the musician were led by his son, Paul Inder, 48, who described his father's determination to keep performing in the face of terminal illness.
"He wasn't a religious man and praying for a miracle was something he would have viewed as a delusional, but he was profoundly spiritual," said Inder.
"Travel well, my dear father. You are back out on the road for the longest tour to the great gig in the sky. We will never, never forget you. I love you."
His son spoke next to a table on which Lemmy's top hat, emblazoned with a skull and crossed swords, sat with a pair of cowboy boots decorated with eagles.
The hat and boots were surrounded by bottles of Jack Daniel's, a nod to his love of bourbon and Coke.
Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of cancer on Boxing Day and died two days later at his home in Los Angeles, after celebrating his 70th birthday.
Inder, a successful record producer, said his father had "felt something was wrong" in August and appeared frail.
He said: "His uncompromising grit kept him performing."
Motorhead manager Todd Singerman said that the band's guitarist, Phil Campbell, could not make it to the service but had sent a token of remembrance.
"He [Campbell] made sure there's a line down there and that's supposed to be speed for Lemmy, he made sure he had a mirror and the whole bit so. do it up Lem."
Guns 'n Roses guitarist Slash said he felt "honoured" to have been a friend of the musician.
Slash described Lemmy as someone who had "more integrity in one finger than a whole roomful of rock 'n rollers".
Slash, who spent his earliest years in Stoke-on-Trent, in the UK, said he remembered Lemmy, who was born in Staffordshire, for his sarcasm and sense of humour.
