A Russian cargo resupply spaceship arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) carrying more than 2000kg of food, supplies and fuel.
Before the arrival of the cargo ship, Nasa Commander Scott Kelly and Flight Engineer Tim Kopra conducted an unplanned spacewalk to move a transporter rail car on the ISS so that the Progress 62 spacecraft could successfully lock into place.
The docking comes less than a week after a Soyuz spacecraft successfully delivered Russian commander Yuri Malenchenko, American NASA astronaut Tim Kopra, and British astronaut Tim Peake to the International Space Station.

Nasa has called the cargo shipment a "Christmas delivery" - though it remains unspecified what kind of presents the astronauts may receive, as the Expedition 46 crew prepares to celebrate the holiday orbiting planet earth.
