Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is confident he can keep star striker Vardy and playmaker Riyad Mahrez at the Foxes despite reported interest from the top four. 
The Tinker Man has told the two they can be champions if they stay at the King Power stadium in the future.

"I think we are building a very good construction. I understand if somebody wants to go but I believe in the next year Leicester, slowly, slowly, can grow up and battle with the top.

"At moment we're very happy and also Jamie is happy with us and he can continue to show his strength with us. Jamie, Riyad, everyone.

"This is our project. I spoke to the owners not now, in July (about it). People believe in me - I believe in me too."

Vardy is enjoying what is undoubtedly the best season of his career so far. The former non-league footballer has banged in 13 goals, ten of which came in consecutive games and he has to chance to make that eleven against Man United this weekend. Vardy also earned a call up to the England squad and looks certain to be on the plane to France next summer.

"Jamie is now a champion. He has to take confidence in this. For me he is a champion if he thinks more about the team and not himself. Maybe I would like the other players to think about Jamie, that is what I would like to see on Saturday.

"In football all strikers have good moments and bad moments. Now everything is okay but it's important to see Jamie when everything is wrong. He's a strong character because comes from non-league.

Meanwhile, teammate Riyad Mahrez has scored seven goals and assisted six putting him in the mix in the top scorers and top assists chart. The Algerian attacker has been devastating defences up and down the country as Leicester climbed to the top of the league.

With the two talismen in such top form, rumours linking them away from the King Power stadium have come thick and fast. Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea are supposedly monitoring Vardy and Mahrez with January moves in mind.
